David F. Williamson Jr. 89 of Morristown, died Friday, February 12, at Care One At Madison Ave. Morristown.

Born in Morristown Thursday, August 19, 1920 he was the son of the late David F. and Cornelia (Smiley) Williamson.

He was the widower of Phebe (Leonard) Williamson

David retired in 1995 from the Morris County Savings Bank, Morristown where he had worked as an administrator. Previous to that he had worked as an administrator for the Town of Morristown. David was a charter member and Past Chairman of the Morristown Parking Authority, and served on the Morristown Zoning Board of Adjustment, Charter Study Commission, and as a Trustee of Morristown Memorial Hospital. He also was elected to serve his community as an Alderman for the Town of Morristown.

David was a member of the Resolute Hook & Ladder Co. No. 1 of the Morristown Fire Department for 61 years, a Life Member of the NJ State Firemen's Association, and a former member of the Exchange Club of Morristown.

He served his country honorably in WWII in the U.S. Army Air Force.

David will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends as a man who enjoyed politics, Public Broadcasting Service, and The New York Times.

He is survived by his two daughters; Kathryn Kenny, Denver CO., Constance Curnow, Morris Twp., two sons David F. III, Morristown, Stuart G., Morris Plains and his sister Micky Thomas, Mendham. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
